Hope (in Spring) -- Pencil

I have always admired people who sketch out their window, in the yard, or out in nature. How cool is it to be able to walk around sketching things. Today I decided to do something about that. I did a quick sketch out my front glass storm door of part of my flower garden. The yellow daffodils are blooming at the foot of my peach tree, and it is just starting to try to bloom pink blossoms.  Nothing else is green or blooming, but the daffodils and the peach tree blooms give hope in Spring.

  2. Nice drawing. I don't have daffodils or a peach tree but my trees do have buds and one tree is actually pushing green leaf tips out. The bushes are beginning to turn green here in the desert. It should be a pretty spring with lots of wild flowers since we actually got rain this year (desert of AZ). It's amazing how a bit of green renews the hope within us.

I will do one when my daffodils are in bloom, at the foot of my sour cherry tree...in a while.

  9. Ah beautiful! The colors must be lovely at this time of year. Little green shoots are emerging from my mud finally. But then the weatherman says we're supposed to get snow this weekend! Spring is full of hope isn't it? Hope it doesn't snow :-)

  10. This is a lovely drawing, it would make a beautiful design for a piece of jewellery I think! A lovely tree brooch... I wish I was a silversmith!!
