I did this to practice drawing glass. The inspiration for this came from an art prompt from Monthly Sketch Project for the month of January. I did not try to copy it exactly. I was playing around with it trying to produce the look of glass more so than the look of fruit. This one was a good learning experience. I erased it and redrew more than once. It still could be better, but decided enough was enough.

Glass is very difficult to draw (for me, anyway), but you've done a fine job with this! nancy
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the reflections! That's hard to get right, but you did.
ReplyDeleteGlass is hard to do. You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteI so admire Ramona how you just continue to refine your craft! Very nice glass! I need to work on this- thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeletePlaying around often brings more than trying too hard to copy... :) which then it becomes overly technical and boring. I think passion is important, having fun is important, and technicality is important too... just locating the balance of all those is probably the key to get it "right". I see a lot of balance in this one ^^
ReplyDeleteGlass is so very difficult to do, but you did a wonderful job with this bowl- congrats :)!!
