These are drawing prompts from the yahoo art group Draw-This. The purpose of the drawing prompts were to help us to work on the three dimensionality and volume of objects. These were interesting to do and a challenge as well. We were allowed to use any medium to do them, but I wanted to stick to pencil. I want to get better at using the pencil, and producing better graphite drawings.

THey are really nice sketches Ramona. :) I am so happy that you're able to to do this everyday and I do envy you for that. I know I keep giving excuses to myself, but there are just errands in the house simply cannot be avoided. Plus the fact that I only get back after 5 everyday. Ah well...I hope I'll be able to do something this weekend. Wish me luck
ReplyDeleteGood job on the sketches. I especially like the pot--you did such a good job with the shading and getting the perspective right on all of the round shapes. I agree with you that a good drawing is the first step!
ReplyDeleteNice job. Getting good with just a pencil means you can take your art supplies very easily with you anywhere you go.
ReplyDeleteCute cell phone! I have one just like it.
ReplyDeleteVery nice drawings! The phone has lots of detail, the pot has a nice shine, and the envelope is stuffed, that's for sure! nancy
ReplyDeleteWho knew an envelope could be transformed into such an object of interest! A nice reminder that it's the interpretation, not the subject itself that determines whether a drawing will be successful. I'm impressed by the accuracy of your shading- I've always lacked the necessary level of control! Great sketches, Ramona :)
ReplyDeleteVery well done on these! I especially like the phone and the pot!
ReplyDeleteyour drawing is very good, the use of only a pencil creates a nice 'doodly' look. I really like this!!!
